Role: Scriptwriter
Picture this: A group of black people are huddled in a corner at the club. They’re passionately discussing and debating politics, history, and slavery while Cash Cobain plays in the background. News flash: they’re Howard students.
On this project in collaboration with the talented Nikole Hannah-Jones, author of NY Times bestselling 1619 Project and Spotify, we created a narrative podcast that connects modern-day topics back to slavery, in true Howard fashion. I was a scriptwriter for the first episode, which details how slavery impacts the way black people “put that sh*t on” today.
