Role: Chief Creative Officer/ Creative Director

Cover 2 Cover is a student-led magazine aiming to creatively encapsulate the HBCU experience at Howard University. We aim to take a creative approach to journalism, covering the topics that the students want to see, no matter how taboo or niche.

I started with Cover 2 Cover as an article writer, then moved into the creative direction space, and now I currently sit as the Co-Chief Creative Officer of the publication. I manage and collaborate with student photographers, videographers, designers, creative directors, and social media editors to produce our quarterly print magazine and our weekly digital publication and social content. I take pride in the people we’ve touched and been able to make feel seen and included in the work that we do.

After all, we’re just college students showing up as our authentic, creative selves and trying to gain experience doing what we love. C2C, a magazine for creatives, by creatives.
